This Sports Waiver and Release of Liability (“Waiver”) is intended to protect Green Grass Volleyball and all persons, entities, or other organizations associated with Green Grass Volleyball from any claims or liability that may arise as a result of participation in any sports or recreational activities.

NOTICE: By signing this document (by checking the box below), you waive certain legal rights. PLEASE read carefully.

In order to participate in tournaments and other events and activities hosted, organized, or sponsored by Green Grass Volleyball (hereinafter referred to as “Activities”), I, the participant, acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Acknowledgement & Assumption of Risk

I understand that playing grass volleyball and participating in grass volleyball tournaments involves inherent risks that cannot be entirely eliminated, regardless of care taken to ensure a safe playing environment and avoid injuries. These risks include, but are not limited to: slips, trips, and falls on uneven terrain including grass, dirt, or mud; collisions with other players, equipment such as netting, poles, or court boundaries; being struck by a volleyball; dehydration, heat exhaustion, or weather-related conditions; and muscle sprains, fractures, or more severe bodily injuries. I am voluntarily participating in these Activities with full knowledge of the risks involved, and I explicitly assume all inherent risks of injury, damage, or death.

Waiver & Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California Law, I hereby forever release, waive, and discharge Green Grass Volleyball including its owners, directors, officers, employees, referees, volunteers, sponsors, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, including but not limited to, personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death that may arise out of or in connection with my participation in these Activities.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless GREEN GRASS VOLLEYBALL and all parties listed above from any claim, liability, or damage arising from or relating to my participation. This indemnity includes reasonable legal fees and other costs arising from my involvement in these Activities.

Medical Consent

I certify that I am physically fit to participate in the Activities and have no medical conditions that would prevent my safe participation in said Activities. I authorize GREEN GRASS VOLLEYBALL or its representatives to obtain medical treatment on my behalf in case of medical emergency.

BY SIGNING, I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT, UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND KNOW I AM DOING SO VOLUNTARILY IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN GREEN GRASS VOLLEYBALL ACTIVITIES.
